Northern Air Environmental Technologies
Inc. also strongly supports the Joint
Training and Apprenticeship Committee (JTAC) as part of
our commitment to high technical standards. The JTAC represents
the recognition by concerned contractors and labour that advanced
training is necessary in order to meet the needs of advanced
technology in the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning
industry. All technicians in participating firms are required
to train beyond the minimum provincial certification requirements.
Our staff demonstrates commitment to advanced technical skills
training by their participation. Our President, Vernon Barney,
is the Past-President of the Contractors' Representative Association
on the JTAC. Additionally, several of our staff have used
their expertise to teach programs for the JTAC, sharing our
knowledge to raise the level of professionalism within the
industry.
We are especially proud to have on staff two recipients of
the Fred Bland Award for Outstanding Fifth Year Apprentice
Upon Graduation. The Fred Bland Award has been presented annually
since 1972 and recognizes the highest-grade achieved on the
provincial licensing exam during a given year. For the years
1986/87 and 1998/99, Northern Air has the privilege of knowing
that we contributed to the education and experience of the
brightest minds to enter the industry.
Our commitment to advanced
technical training is really a commitment to you.
